The shameful defeat of Indian history

Hosts Australia took a 1-0 lead in the four-match Test series, leaving India in a state of great embarrassment. Australia's two fast bowlers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood played well with India's strong batting line-up. India's innings ended with the lowest 36 runs in their Test history. The target in front of the hosts to win was only 90 runs. This modest target easily lands in Australia. Ajira picked up an easy victory of 6 wickets.

Australia did not get much of an advantage in reply to India's 244 in the first innings. The visitors got a 53-run lead in the first innings by bowling out the hosts for 191 runs. Kohli was supposed to throw big goals to the hosts by using such an equation of the match. But in the second innings, the whole team could not add another 53 runs, all out for only 36 runs. So the target in front of Australia is only 90 runs.

India started the third day of the match with a 72-run lead in Adelaide on Saturday. Opener Prithvi Shaw went back to the dressing room in the last session of the second day, at the end of the day they collected 9 runs for 1 wicket. With this, India lost the next 6 wickets to add only 22 runs today, finally stopping the innings at 36 runs.

Australia did not take even an hour and a half to get India out. The Indian batsmen could not stand in front of the perfect line-length of Cummins and Hazlewood.

While the Indian batsmen could not find an answer in front of the Australian bowlers, Aussie openers Joe Burns and Matthew Wade played very smoothly in the second innings. The two continue to run in the mood of ODI cricket. The opening pair came up with 80 runs, also in just 16.2 overs.

It seemed that the hosts would win without losing any wickets. But Wade was run out in the 17th over. He left the wicket after playing a shot with the ball of Ravichandran Ashwin. Riddhiman Saha broke the stamp by throwing without looking from the side of the wicket. As a result, the innings of 33 runs from 53 balls.

After two overs, Marnus Labushen, who was down to number three, returned to the dressing room with only six runs left. 6 runs from 10 balls came from his bat. But Joe Burns made no mistake. The right-handed opener left the field after winning the match by scoring 51 off 63 balls in an unbeaten fifty. Steven Smith was unbeaten on 1 run.

Earlier, India's last batsman Mohammad Shami left the field as a retired heart due to pain in his hand. As a result, 10 wickets did not fall, but their innings ended with 36 runs. Which is the fifth lowest team collection in Test history and no other team's innings has stopped less than this in the current decade.

Hazlewood, a 29-year-old right-arm pacer, was the biggest hit on the way to dismissing the opposition by 36 runs. He completed the eighth fifties of his career with just 4 runs. In the end, his bowling figure stood at 5-3-6-5. On the other hand, Shami left the field due to pain in his hand due to Cummins. As a result, Cummins did not. His bowling figure is 10.2-4-21-4.

No batsman has been able to put up a minimum resistance for India with the bat. Mayank Agarwal scored the highest 9 runs, Hanuma Bihari scored 8 runs. Three people stopped before opening the run book. This is only the second time in Test cricket that a batsman has failed to reach double digits. Earlier, in 1924, South Africa was embarrassed against England.
