'Messi's salary is not acceptable'

Lionel Messi will have to leave the club if his salary is not reduced, this time a presidential candidate of Barcelona sat down with such a warning. Emily Roussend is one of the nine candidates running in the January 24 presidential election in Barcelona.
According to the businessman, who previously served as the club's vice-president, Messi's current salary is a burden to the club. Carrying out his weekly salary of five million euros is unprofitable for the club. "We have to sit down with Messi and ask him to reduce his salary," he told a Catalan newspaper. His current salary is not sustainable for the economic structure of the club. If he refuses to pay, he will have to leave the club.
